Every year the Le Mans circuit is overtaken by skaters for a weekend for a 24 endurance race. Teams of up to 10 skaters race in this relay race. In 2008 my friends made up two teams to compete. We split ourselves into 3 shifts comprised of 3, 3 and 4 people. The idea is each person skates a lap as fast as they can, passes the baton onto the next person then waits on their next turn. I was averaging about 9 and a half minutes per lap of the circuit.
