Dan's Adventure

Today I present to you the top ten highlights of the first four months of my around the world adventure, August through to the end of November. Narrowing it down to just these ten has been tough, there have been so many great experiences and unforgetable moments. We begin back in Kenya with my first encounter with the big five in the Masai Mara and continue in chronological order.

The last four months have totally flown by, its hard to believe that I am already so far into my around the world trip. I am currently in Cambodia, the 12th country that I’ve visited on my adventure and there is still a lot more to come. I have been asked countless times what my favourite part has been so far, but that question is almost impossible to answer, there have been so many highlights and so many lasting memories. I’ve thought long and hard about what I have witnessed …

This is the final set of photos from my time in Africa. It has taken a lot longer than expected to get them all up, mainly due to shoddy internet, but since I’ve been in China I’ve had free wifi in every hostel so I’ve taken advantage of it and got them all uploaded. In the photos from South Africa you will find photos from Orange River, Table Mountain, Cape Point and my shark cage diving trip.

Whilst hiding inside from the freezing weather in Shanghai I’ve managed to get my photos from Namibia uploaded. The photos are from Etosha, Dune 45, Swakopmund and the Kalahari desert. That leaves only the photos from South Africa to be uploaded.

It has taken a while but I have finally managed to upload more photos from Africa. There are more still to come from Namibia and South Africa, but for now you can check out the photos from Tanzania which includes photos from the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, Malawi, Zambia which includes white water rafting and bungee jump photos, and Botswana which includes photos from Chobe and the Okavango Delta.

I used to like monkeys. In fact, when I was younger I thought it would be awesome to have a monkey as a pet; funny, inquisitive, and given a typewriter, possibly authors. I liked monkeys until I encountered them in the wild. Over the last two months the following monkey relate incidents have led me to the conclusion that monkeys are evil:

After weeks of trying I’ve finally managed to upload the video of my bungee jump video from the Victoria Falls Bridge whilst in Udaipur. The video was filmed by Claire who appeared from Zimbabwe at just the right time to capture the jump.

Apologies for using the same location two weeks in a row, and also sorry for yet another sunset, I just love the colours in this picture. This is once more from Fish River Canyon in Namibia. It was taken as the temperature began to drop and I was returning from the truck with my fleece to rejoin the group for more wine.
