Dan’s Adventure follows Dan as he travels around the world. The adventure began in August 2009 when Dan left the UK and flew to Nairobi, Kenya. As Dan travels through Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and North America, Dan will endevour to share his stories and photos on this travel blog.
Preparations began in February 2009 when Dan made the decision to leave the UK to travel around the world. Following that decision he moved back to Scotland for a few months to save money and build his travel fund.
Prior to this trip, Dan has only travelled outside of Europe once. That was last December when he travelled to the Dominican Republic for a spot of surfing. Travelling alone and further than he has ever gone before, this is sure to be one hell of an adventure!

This blog is powered by wordpress and uses a modified version of the Arthemia theme. The travel photos gallery is a custom application written in php which pulls photo data from flickr using their APIs and stores it in a database. The pages then retrieve the gallery information from the database, but the images themselves are all hosted on flickr. The light box used to display large sizes of photos in each gallery is Litebox. Hosting is provided by Evohosting.
